Pascal Lorenz (lorenz@ieee.org) is a Professor at the University of Haute-Alsace, France, since 1995. He received his M.Sc. (1990) and Ph.D. (1994) from the University of Nancy. Previously, he worked as a research engineer at WorldFIP Europe and Alcatel-Alsthom (1990–1995). His research focuses on QoS, wireless, and high-speed networks. He has authored 3 books, 3 patents, and over 200 international publications. He served as Technical Editor for IEEE Communications Magazine (2000–2006), IEEE Network Magazine (2015–2020), and IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology (since 2017). He is on the editorial boards of IEEE IoT Journal (since 2024), IJCS (Wiley), SCN (Wiley), JNCA (Elsevier), and others. His leadership roles include Chair of IEEE ComSoc France (2020–2024), Financial Chair of IEEE France (2017–2022), and committee roles in several IEEE societies and conferences (e.g., ICC, Globecom, WCNC). He was IEEE ComSoc Distinguished Lecturer (2013–2014) and is an IEEE Senior Member and IARIA Fellow.

Yung-Yao Chen received his B.S. (2004) and M.S. (2006) degrees in Electrical and Control Engineering from the National Chiao Tung Universityfrom Hsinchu, Taiwan, and his Ph.D. (2013) degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, USA. Before being a faculty, he has worked in HP Labs - Printing and Content Delivery Lab (HPL - PCDL) about one year. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering and the Co-Director of Taiwan Tech Smart Electric Vehicle Research Center, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, Taipei, Taiwan.His current research interests include vision-based automation, automated/wisdom factory, self-driving car, and human-computer interaction.

Prof. Patrick Siarry was born on May 28, 1952, in Pertuis. His research area is relatively (since 1982) new “metaheuristic” optimization such as simulated annealing, which are indicated for the so-called problems of “hard optimization” because of their ability to avoid in principle, trapping in sub-optimal solutions. This topic is multidisciplinary in nature, both by the source of the methods studied (physics, biology, ethology). Much of his work is explicitly one or the other keywords – in particular, modeling, identification, learning rule bases (artificial intelligence), control, nondestructive testing and maintaining the biological and medical engineering.

Xiaochun Cheng won full scholarship for all his university education, received the BEng Degree in Computer Engineering with first class degree in 1992, PhD in Computer Science with distinction in 1996. One project was funded with 16 Million Euro budget. He contributed for five times best conference paper awards so far. 6 his papers were in the top 1% of the academic field by Data from Essential Science Indicators. He won 3 times national competitions. He won national award for research. Two solutions were adopted nationally. He serves 7 IEEE Technical Committees and 3 BCS Specialist Groups. He has been a Senior Member of IEEE. He currently works at Swansea University, UK.

Grigorios Beligiannis has finished his postgraduate studies in “Computer & Information Technology” in 2000 and his doctoral dissertation in 2002 at the same time Department. In 2007 he was elected to the lecturer's degree with knowledge area “Management Information Systems”. In 2011 he has evolved at the rank of Assistant Professor, in 2016 at the rank of Associate Professor and in 2020 at the rank of Professor with subject “Intelligent Information Systems”. He has 58 published research papers in international scientific journals, 49 published papers in scientific conferences and 4 chapters in edited book series. He is Associate Editor of International Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Member of the Editorial Board of Applied Soft Computing, Helyion, Journal of Intelligent Communication, Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research, Journal of Advances in Artificial Intelligence and International Journal of Cyber Forensics and Advanced Threat Investigations. He has been a member of the Technical Committee at more than 200 international scientific conferences. His research interests focus on Intelligent Algorithms of Decision Theory, on Intelligent Algorithm Applications to System Identification, Parameter Estimation and Operations Research problems and on Business Intelligence Systems.

Wen-Jer Chang (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree from the National Taiwan Ocean University, Keelung, Taiwan, in 1986, with the major focus on marine engineering and minor focus on electronic engineering, the M.S. degree from the Institute of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering, National Central University, in 1990, and the Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Electrical Engineering, National Central University, in 1995. Since 1995, he has been with the National Taiwan Ocean University. He is currently the Director of the Matsu Administration Office and a Full Professor with the Department of Marine Engineering, National Taiwan Ocean University. He has authored more than 135 published journal articles and 130 refereed conference papers. His recent research interests include marine engineering, fuzzy control, robust control, and performance constrained control. He is a Life Member of CIEE, CACS, CSFAT, and SNAME. Since 2003, he has been listed in the Marquis Who’s Who in Science and Engineering. In 2003, he won the Outstanding Young Control Engineers Award granted by the Chinese Automation Control Society (CACS). In 2004, he won the Universal Award of Accomplishment granted by ABI of USA. In 2005 and 2013, he was selected as an Excellent Teacher of the National Taiwan Ocean University.

Professor Chul Kim serves on the mathematics faculty at George Mason University Korea. Before his current role, he held academic positions at several institutions including Shaw University, North Carolina State University, University of South Dakota, Kwangwoon University, Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, Daegu Gyoungbuk Institute of Science and Technology, and Ryerson University. Additionally, he was a visiting scholar at the University of British Columbia, Pyongyang University of Science and Technology, and Tianjin University. During his tenure at Ryerson University, he earned the Teaching Excellence Award twice, in 2005 and 2015. Professor Kim's research covers applied mathematics and information technology security using various AI algorithms. He authored "Introduction of Cryptography," published in 1996 in Korea. Recently, his focus has shifted to evaluation modeling of security mechanisms and the methods used to assess university admissions. His pioneering work, "Introduction to Holistic Evaluation for University Admissions," released in 2011, was the first book of its kind in Korea.
